Promoting your events

Promotion is three small generators rather than a publishing tool. Each one renders a PNG from your group's own data that you download and post yourself - nothing is sent anywhere on your behalf.

The promotion hub

Promotion is a tab in the group settings. It opens on a hub with three tools: a portrait card for Instagram and TikTok, a landscape header for a Facebook group, and the plain share link. The first two take a background image you upload; the group name, logo and next events are filled in from the group profile automatically.

The three tools

Content teaser
A 1080x1350 portrait card with your background image, a headline and the next upcoming event - the shape Instagram and TikTok want.
Facebook group header
A 1640x856 cover with your group name, logo and meeting schedule, sized for the header of a Facebook group.
Share group link
No image involved: the public link to your group, to copy or send directly.

The content teaser controls

Upload background image
A high-resolution image. Portrait 4:5 fits the output best; other shapes are cropped to it.
Headline
The top line of the card. Left empty it reads "Next Event".
Free text
The caption along the bottom, up to 500 characters. Line breaks are kept.
Download as PNG
Disabled until there is both a background image and an upcoming event to put on the card; the button says which one is missing.

The Facebook header controls

Upload background image
A landscape image. Without one the group preview image is used instead, so the header works before you have chosen anything.
Group name
The text rendered on the header. It starts from the group profile and can be overridden for the image only.
Show group logo
Whether the logo from the group profile is drawn on the header.
Show group website
Whether the group's own address is printed on the image.
Events shown
How many upcoming events to list in the schedule block.
Layout
Left aligned, Right aligned, Centered or Bottom band. These affect the generated image only - nothing is stored.

Fill in the group profile first

Both generators read the group name, logo and upcoming events from the group profile. A group with no logo and no scheduled event produces a thin-looking card, and the page hints at exactly that. Set those up under Group first and the images come out finished.
