Board game clubs

Everyone sees what is coming to the table - and whether it works at the table size.

A game night event page listing the pledged games by the member bringing each one, with a fit badge against the headcount

The table is set before you arrive

Members pledge what they are bringing, and the event page groups it by who is carrying the box. Every game is measured against the live headcount - the members who said yes, plus their guests - so a two-player duel next to seven confirmed people is flagged before anyone packs a bag.

A catalog the whole club builds

Every title the group plays, with its box art, player range, playtime and weight. Mechanics and categories are tags, so a member hunting for a co-op that works with four filters straight to it instead of scrolling.

A member shelf: each owned copy with its language, condition and notes, and the can-teach, willing-to-bring and show-my-name switches

Every member keeps a shelf

Members record the copies they own - which language the box is in, what condition it is in, whether they can teach the rules, and whether they are willing to carry it across town. Two switches decide who sees a copy and who may ask for it.

The ask page: each matching game with the member who owns a copy and will bring it, a message field and an Ask button

Ask the owner, not the chat

Want a specific game on the night? Ask someone who owns it and is happy to bring it. The request lands in their notifications, one click turns it into a pledge, and nobody can be asked twice for the same title.

The old way

  • "Who is bringing what?" asked again in the group chat every single week
  • Three copies of the same game turn up, and nothing that plays with six
  • The game on the table does not work at the table size
  • Nobody knows who owns what, or who can actually teach it

With MeetAgain

  • Every member keeps a shelf, so the group knows which copies exist
  • Pledges show on the event page days before the night
  • A fit badge checks every pledged game against the live headcount
  • Asking an owner to bring a title is one click and lands in their notifications

The building blocks behind it

Comments
